From Seneca Falls To the 19th Amendment: The History And Songs Of American Woman Suffrage

The struggle for women’s suffrage was one of the most important and hard-fought in the long history of a movement that has seen much important advancement toward gender equality.  Music was one of the significant tools used in the crusade for a woman’s right to vote.  Songs were composed to advance (and to oppose) the agenda which resulted in the passing of the 19th amendment to the Constitution.  In commemoration of the centennial of this historic event Dawn Indermuehle and Rick Spencer present a program of Songs of the Women’s Suffrage Movement.

Program registration is required. Call (860)739-6926 to register.
