Bruce Dasinger, a Niantic resident and retired microbiologist, spent his 32-year career with research divisions of Standard Oil of New Jersey and Pfizer. Bruce has no formal training in climate science but has read widely in the field and become concerned that our political leaders are not taking action fast enough to prevent the cumulative toll of climate change from being dropped on our children and grandchildren. Bruce will cover the major impacts of climate change—some already near tipping point, our current status, where we are headed, and possible solutions. He explains why the way we discuss the topic with others may be our best chance to lead the nation to systematic changes from political leaders.
