"The Turtle" a talk by Lt. E.A. Mixon.

The "Infernal Machine" later known as the Turtle was the first submersible vessel used in combat. It was built by David Bushnell and operated by Ezra Lee to attach explosives to a British ship.

 Lt. Mixon from the Submarine Force Museum, where there is a model of the Turtle, will explain basic submarine principles still in use today. He is the Executive Officer of the Museum and guided it through its recent overhaul.
