After a destructive relationship with her master, a pregnancy, and the mysterious death of her illegitimate newborn son, Mercy Bramble, a beautiful young indentured servant, is condemned to death for the crime she swears she did not commit. Inspired by true events in 1750s New London, Connecticut, Gallows Road takes readers on a harrowing journey of love, betrayal, and injustice.
